We will increase our focus on puck handling while still working on avoidance skating (maneuverability, balance, edge control), skating backwards, as well as stopping  ALL WITH A PUCK. This will slow all rotations – so being efficient with the movement between stations is important.

IF TIME THEN ALL IN AT ONE END – same as last week.

IMPORTANT!!! WARN THEM ABOUT CRASHING INTO THE BOARDS AT THE FAR END

CHARIOT RACE ON KNEES to the far end and back

Focus: Power, skating with the knees bent

All instructors “Tunnel up” and kids “tap off” when they get off the ice. This is an important part of the ritual – it reminds them BY NAME they did a good job and that we look forward to seeing them next week.

PHOTOS NEXT WEEK!
